Danhausen's Hilarious WWE Raw Debut: Backstage Shenanigans and Curses! (2026)

Danhausen's WWE Raw debut was surprisingly hilarious, proving he's exactly the kind of comedic character fans have been hoping for!

As a seasoned pro wrestling enthusiast who's been immersed in the scene since 2011, I've seen my fair share of wrestling debuts. Danhausen's initial appearance in WWE at Elimination Chamber in Chicago certainly stirred up a lot of chatter. While some critics were quick to voice their displeasure, others were more optimistic, trying to find the silver lining. However, a common sentiment seemed to be that it was far too early to definitively judge his long-term impact on the company.

So, the burning question became: how would WWE follow up? The answer, it turns out, was to lean into exactly what many fans believed would be his strength – a quirky, funny gimmick character, particularly in backstage segments.

This week's episode of Monday Night Raw, broadcast from Indianapolis, gave us a fantastic glimpse of this. Danhausen made quite an entrance, immediately cracking a joke about Adam Pearce's attempt at a disguise with glasses. He then declared that his WWE debut was so incredibly well-received that he already had a rather ambitious list of demands:

  • A blimp (because why not aim for the sky?)
  • An immediate Hall of Fame induction this very year (talk about confidence!)
  • His very own personal assistant
  • A dedicated personal camera boy to capture his every move
  • A photo with Triple H pointing (a classic power move)
  • His face emblazoned on all the trucks (making sure everyone knows who's boss!)

And this is the part most people miss: shortly after this comedic interlude, he found himself interacting with the formidable The Judgment Day. In a move that delighted many, he ultimately cast a curse on Dirty Dominik Mysterio right before his Intercontinental Championship defense against Penta. We're all on the edge of our seats to see how that particular magical intervention plays out! (UPDATE: And indeed, Dirty Dom lost his title after being cursed! A new champion has been crowned thanks to Danhausen's intervention!)

What did you think of Danhausen's performance on Raw? Did it live up to your expectations, or do you think WWE is still figuring out how to best utilize him? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below – I'm eager to hear if you agree that his comedic timing was on point!
